ReadyNAS RN312 upgraded to 6.7.4, mapped drive folders and files not accessible

So I'm a little bit furious. Some at myself and some at Netgear. I upgraded from 6.5.2 to 6.7.4 and now when I try to access my shared files locally via the mapped drive I get "Shared is not accessible. Access is denied".

Checking the notes for 6.7.4 I can see now that they recommended a multi-step upgrade to 6.7.4. Fine, it's on me to check that beforehand, you bet your ass for sure I won't play this game again but, really Netgear?! You'll let your system HASSLE me "Hey, there's an upgrade, do you want to install it?" every freaking time I login to the admin page when you know good and well that doing that direct upgrade will screw my system over?

Rant over - So what options do I have now? I can see that downgrading back to 6.5.2 is not an option. I'm really not interested in a factory reset and having to re-sync my 680GB of data but I'm at a loss for what else to do at this point.

Anyone have any suggestions?

A direct upgrade from 6.5.2 (or later) to 6.7.4 is what is recommended. The UI prompts you with the recommended upgrade.

Can you send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

There have been some changes in how guest access works in the NAS - which were needed due to some changes in windows behavior.  They might be causing your problem.

So in addition to sending in logs to mdgm... If you are using Windows - can you run CMD and then enter

      net use * /delete

      net use t: \\nas-ip-address\data /user:admin nas-admin-password

Use the real values for the stuff in italics, and be careful on spaces and slash direction.  Also, if you aren't using XRAID, then replace "data" with the name of one of your data volumes.

These commands should mount the NAS data volume as drive letter t:  The first one sometimes asks for confirmation (if so, let it proceed).  Otherwise it will tell you that there are no sessions to close - you can ignore that.

So you're running Egnyte? There seems to be a problem with an Egnyte upgrade.
