You shouldn't post it publicly. You can ask the mods ( JohnCM_S or Marc_V ) to analyze them for you. Upload the zip to cloud storage. Send the mods a PM (private message) using the envelope icon in the top right of the forum page. Include a download link in the PM.
It could of course be a failing powerr adapter.
Are you seeing any temperature issues?

Since becoming aware of the issue, the temperature has remained steady at 37 degrees C,
Can you advise how to investigate power supply issues?
Access to the NAS has not been an issue only drive mapping access to shares on the NAS drops, which does not sound like a PSU problem?

I am wondering if air flow is blocked, given the dust in your screen shot. So you could start by cleaning it.
Other possible hardware issues include a failing power adapter, or a failing system board. If it's the system board, the client needs a new NAS.
You can do a risk-buy of a power adapter (for instance here: https://www.newegg.com/p/14P-00M7-00062?item=9SIAMTFBS00225 ) and see if that works.
It could also be something going wrong with the disks I guess. So you could test them in a PC with vendor tools (Seatools for seagate, lifeguard for western digital).
It is possible (but I think less likely) that something has gotten corrupted in the software, which is causing the system to crash. A factory default would clear that up. That will destroy all the data though, so make sure the client has a full backup before it is attempted. Note if the issue is hardware, the NAS probably won't run long enough to complete the backup.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me,
Will certainly ask the client if they can get a vacuum cleaner and remove all dust.
As the NAS has been fully accessible via the web GUI at any and all times (thus far) I am not certain of the power supply being an issue so the system board being faulty. A quick seach of the serial number shows the unit warranty having expired on 2016-06-30.
I am in the process of getting a replacement NAS.
One issue which has just appeared is using Windows File Explorer users are getting access denied messages, yet traversing the same folder from the web gui allows access to all folders.
Is there a possibility remove share access then reconfiguring it might resolve this issue?
Is there a documented guide you can point me to do do this?

That's not consistent with your earlier report that the NAS is rebooting every 15 minutes. Can you clarify whether it is rebooting or not?

That needs to be done carefully - you can damage the fan if you don't know what you are doing. You don't want air to spin the blades. General advice is to hold the fins of the fan before trying to vacuum or run compressed air through the air intake.

If they are using Windows 10, then likely SMB 1 has been disabled on their PCs. You can re-enable it in "turn windows features on and off".
