ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Plus - Which fan is built in?
Hello! I'm looking for a silent replacement fan, which fan is built in? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it is a 92mm unit.
If you want a quieter version look for a 92mm Noctua. Have a trawl through the forums for quiet fan replacement.
Most people had a go at replacing the NV+ fan with mixed results - I burned out the mobo with mine, so I reverted to the original fan on my other units.
The Ultra 2+ is one of the quietest of the ReadyNAS units anyway. I have had an NV, NV+, Duo, Ultra 2, Pro Pioneer and Ultra 6+ .
My problem with the Ultra 2 was the prop-jet noise on start-up. Although it is only a few seconds, it's still loud enough to act as an alarm clock.
You will probably get more noise from the 2 drives than from the fan in normal use.
