unfortunately I think its like 3 years old or more, so I do not think there is still HW warranty?! :-(

The hardware warranty is 3 years, so perhaps you should check the actual purchase date.

When you do USB Boot Recovery on a 4.2 system you may wipe the EEPROM adding an additional problem.
