ReadyNAS Ultra 4 SSL Certificate

Hi all, I became annoyed with always having that SSL warning when logging into FrontView so I wanted to get my certificates sorted out. I have read a fair few threads here and haven't been able to resolve this.

My SSL certificate was generated on a DHCP assigned IP address (192.168.1.36) but I have subsequently assigned a static IP address (192.168.1.3). Chrome, IE etc all take issue with this IP mismatch. I changed the IP in the SSL Key Host field and hit regenerate, but the cert is still saying the old IP address. I have exported that certificate and imported it into my Trusted Root Certificate Authorities but to no avail, my browsers don't like that IP discrepancy.

Any ideas?

Perhaps there's some cache you need to clear in your browser?

Have you delete the old certificate from your browser?
  • I was using OpenSSL to print the certificate via SSH and it still had the original IP address. However, this morning when I logged in it has been updated to the static IP. I think maybe I wasn't giving FrontView enough time to propagate my changes or something similar. Either way, I imported the new certificate and problem solved. The process was correct!

    Thanks all the same.
