My opinion is that disk 2 is the problem and needs an RMA. There is a known compatibility issue with that disk: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=64510
If once the disk is replaced you still have the issue make sure you have an up to date backup and then try a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything).
