ReadyNAS104 not recognizing external hard drive
I have a Ready NAS 104 using OS 6.6.1.
I am attempting to hook up a Sabrent USB 3.0 SATA Hard Drive Flat Docking Station with a 1TB HDD. The HDD was previously used as one of my internal drives.
The message I get in my system log is:
External Storage Device is connected but the file system is not recognized.
How can I access the external device so that I can utilize it?

You could try to format it from the NAS. But, of course that would wipe it, so it's only a solution if the drive is empty (or if you back up what's on it).
I am not able to format the HDD from the NAS server.
Why? Does it show an error? You don't have the option to format?
Can you post a screenshot?
