Hi...

I have purchased the Netgear ReadyNAS214 4Bay purchased three months back.. Suddenly the NAS is inaccessible..

Hence the product is under warranty, I ask for the local suuport, But local serivce provider told me to lock the case direct with the company.

I did the same as local service provider ask me to do.... Company team had investigate for my problem, and answer me that your root volume has corrupted.. 

Before giving any reason for that, they told me that recovery charges for the data is $200 per hour(Just Inital Dignosus), and clearly told that, there is no gurantee for
the recover of the data, and for the same amount is not refundable..

why should I pay for my own intellectually property data..Hence my data is on critical stage due to netgear OS configuration.

If any one having any idea for the same. Kindly advice

    This is not a new idea, it should be moved by a Netgear mod to the main forum area.  Marc_V or JohnCM_S, can you handle this?

    NETGEAR ReadyNAS do have a 90-Day Full Support contract included upon purchase from an authorized reseller and also has a 3 Year Limited Hardware Warranty for the RN200 series.

     

    We understand how frustrating this would be not being able to access your data but contacting Support can definitely assist you with this. A case would be escalated from Support if your NAS is still under the 90 Days Phone Support. However, if the NAS is past that Support period you will have to purchase the Data Recovery contract.
