Resetting to factory defaults

A factory default will wipe the disks of all data and reinstall the OS and reset the configuration and settings to the original.
What you want is the OS reinstall, which will not affect data, it just reinstalls the Operating System and resets the configuration and settings to the original. The password will be set back to netgear1 and the password recovery feature will be set back to blank.
