resize swap on readynas 104
hello readynas people,
does anyone could help me in resizing swap size on my device readynas 104? Its an arm based linux device. I know how to connect to my device via putty and i am familiar with basic linux stuff.

- chirpaLuminaryI wouldn't recommend resizing it. The system hard codes those values, expanding later could cause issues.
You can use swapon command to add more swap space via flat file on the data partition. Or try 'apt-get install swapd', it runs a daemon that dynamically adds swap as needed, then removes it later. - aVe2000AspirantHello chirpa,
i am going to debug a problem with plex. Therefore i want to see what happens if i expand swap. Maybe the problem is a OOM problem.

it seems like the swapd is not available for my device. Using swapon seems a bit dangerous: one have to disable the current swap partition. Then we create a swapfile and a fstab entry and so on. These changes are a bit to deep in my nas.
