RN 314 OS 6.2.3 Defrag Locks up NAS
Upgraded to 6.2.3 last night. Everything went OK and I'm glad to be able to browse the NAS and not have to fool around with mapping drive letters!
However, when I start the defrag process it will run for an hour or so and then the NAS locks up.
-- it is no longer visible from a Windows machine
-- I cannot connect to the admin page(s) via a browser using either the IP address or the NAS name
-- the display is blank and pressing the power button does nothing.
Only recourse is to power down the NAS by holding the power button . . . . and then rebooting.
It comes up just fine and seems none the worse . . .
Note that the same behavior happened with 6.2.2.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSoon after the defrag started it complained about text files being busy. These were for the shellinabox and plexmediaserver apps. If you disable these apps do you still have this problem?
- hmuessigLuminaryOK, uninstalled the apps "shell in a box" and "linux-dash" and turned off (disabled) the Plex server . . . SMB Plus is the only app running (1.0.1)
Still locked up after starting the defrag.

If not, the next step I would suggest would be for you to backup your data - hmuessigLuminaryYup, full backup(s) locally and in the cloud (depending on what is in each share, done daily or continuously).
What are you thinking? - hmuessigLuminaryThe solution to this problem appears to be to uninstall Poussin's Shell in a Box and disable Plex, and the NetGear AntiVirus service.
Defrag runs just fine.
