RN102: shares available, web admin not accessible

Hi there,

since updating my ReadyNAS RN102 to firmware 6.7.5 I have no access to the web admin interface, at least the shares are still working.

Also RAIDar detects the RN102. When trying to open the admin web ui is asks for the password but after submitting my credentials only a progress bar appears. Also RAIDar returns log files from the NAS.

So far I've tried to update the firmware to newer version ( up to 6.8.1 ) via USB key. The NAS seems to load the new firmware, but after rebooting the old firmware shows up again => no success.

Trying the boot options with OS Reinstall and Factory reset also did not help so far.

Switching browser etc. are also not helpfull.

Unfortunately there is no SSH enabled on my NAS and I can't access its shell.

Is there a way to get back control on my NAS?

  • The best option is to use paid netgear support.  Of course a factory reset/restore the NAS from backup will work also.

I've tried https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker as well. Unfortunately without success. All I receive is:

      ERROR 6001010007
      Couldn't connect to server
