RN104 – ReadyNAS does not boot up

I have a ReadyNAS 104 which serves for my backup since 2016 but recently it is not booting up. I tried to use the USB recovery from the documentation that it said the recovery is done. However, it cannot start up on its own when the USB is pulled. I can replace the hardware by migrating the disks. But I cannot find the compatible product in Netgear site (e.g. where to buy). Please advise.

    You can migrate to OS-6 NAS with 4 or more bays - RN104, RN204, RN214, RN314, RN316, RN424, RN426, RN428, RN514, RN516, RN524, RN526, RN528, RN626, RN628,  But I don't think you will find new ones for sale - you'd need to purchase used.

You can also purchase a used Ultra 4, Ultra 6, Pro 4, or Pro 6 - these can be converted to run OS-6.  After conversion you could migrate the disks.

It could be the disks.  Does it start up when you remove the disks (showing a no disks status)?  Label the disks as you remove them, so you can keep them in slot order.

It is the same message "Boot from USB Failed!" when all disks are removed.
