I have made contact with Netgear Support on the business phone No if anyone calls about ReadyNas in the UK. You will actually speak to support in the US. They are very friendly and helpful so no great shakes, it's just a shame the ReadyNas which has been working fine failed after a Firmware Update, though it is unclear if this actually caused the failure and maybe a coincidence where somthing else failed in the NAS during the the firmware update and re-boot process. This does make you bit weary in the future updating firmware, so I may now leave updates a while before just pressing the update firmware button :-)
They have RMA'd my product and are sending a replacement ReadyNas Chassis.

Hi,
Have Run RAIDar and it says "can't find any Netgear Storage on your Network"?
Lan cable is connected from NAS to Network and NAS Ethernet Plug on NAS has LED flickering.

Hello fireman69,
Try plugging it to another port of the router/switch. Or simply unplug the LAN cable then plug it back in.
How many disks are inserted?

Hi,
I have tried the other ports and options and have run RAIDar in these options, still no joy I am afraid.
I have 3 x 4TB WD HDD's fitted.
The NAS was running fine before the firmware update its now in limbo I think and isnt responding, should I try the USB Recovery Procedure to re-boot the NAS and see if it comes to life??

Hello fireman69,
Can you connect it straight to a computer? If you get the same problem, power off the NAS then remove the disks. Please make sure to label them as it is very important to put the disks back to their respective bays before you boot up the NAS with the disks in to prevent data loss. Once disks are removed, power on the NAS and see if the RAIDar will still not detect the NAS. It should detect the NAS even without the disks.
Do you have backup of the data, by the way?

Hi,
Ok, I powered down the NAS and removed the HDD's and Powered back Up
I connected NAS directly to a computer and ran RAIDar still no joy
I connected NAS to network and ran RAIDar still no joy
On power up each time the NAS is showing the same as my 1st post
Power Light - Flashing Fast
Act Light - comes on after a couple of minutes
Display Shows - Boot Menu
Pressing backup - display then show's normal
Pressing backup again - nothing happens
I haven't done a physical backup of the NAS
I suspect that the Firmware Update didn't install correctly and thats why the NAS hasn't fully re-booted to normal state?
