RN3130 no boot menu
Hi, After a few months of using RN-3130 I got such a message: V+12 voltage in enclosure Internal is out of spec. (18.35 V). First - I moved two disks to the other NAS (RN-212) and they work pro...

Thank you very much for your response.
I will try to explain it more precisely.
After I got a warning message there was not any access to NAS even the power led was on and LAN led was blinking, fans were working and all disks were marked green.
I even couldn't shut it down. After force restart the power led is off. That was unusual so I removed the most important disks.
my first step.
I had very important data on my disks (slot 1 and 2, RAID1, volume name 'data') so I wanted to know if they suvived. Hopefully after moving these disks to RN212 they started working without any problems, warnings etc.
Because I didn't want to use disks with critical data in a faulty device I moved disks from slots 3 and 4 to slot 1 and 2 I decided to restore NAS to factory default but unsuccessfully.
I did it before a few months earlier and it worked then.
I used this manual:
https://kb.netgear.com/27204/How-do-I-access-the-boot-menu-on-my-ReadyNAS-2304-3130-or-3138-storage-system
So RN3130 has definitely a hardware problem.

OK, but what, exactly, did you do between when the unit was working other than reporting a bad +12V and when it stopped working? When you were "trying to enter the boot menu and even connect USB stick to upload a new soft."
The 3130 does have a 5 year warranty. If you are still in that window, you should contact Netgear support.

Hi,
I got the message in the night, read it in the morning and check in the late afternoon.
No backups were made in the night. I did nothing, there weren't any power failures in the UPS log.
I bought this server as used, there is no serial number on the case (sticker is removed) so it could have come from the Netgear replacement program ;) and is simply a trash.
I am still curious is it possible to fix it?
Is there any repair/service manual?

There are no repair/service manuals and no available replacement electrical parts for any ReadyNAS except for the OEM SuperMicro systems (3100, 3200, 4200, and 4200V2), where they don't come from Netgear. All that is offered is in-warranty replacement, which does not apply to your used system. The label being absent is suspect. But as I said, the chassis components are mostly standard Chenbro, so somebody may have swapped the case of a physically damaged unit rather than it being a pre-production or other unique system, though that's still a red flag Netgear does not remove labels on units provided as warranty replacements. I do not know if they remove them from evaluation systems to make them harder to sell. Some silly seller could even have simply removed it thinking they needed to remove it to divorce themselves from the serial number registration.
If it was working but reporting a bad voltage, then simply stopped working on it's own, Then the likelihood that there is something wrong with the motherboard is a lot higher than if you'd done something to it, especially given the troubleshooting you've already done. Since you moved the one volume to another NAS, have you checked the logs for any indication of other errors?

FYI, there was a service action for the RN3130 some years ago: https://kb.netgear.com/000037344/Service-Note-for-RN3130-RN3138-WC7500-and-WC7600v2
It might be worth contacting support, even if the unit is out-of-warranty.
