RN314 and RN212 connected over VPN instead of locally

3 NAS units, all with IP address reservation on the home router. all 3 were connected locally over 192.168.1.210/1/2 until the RN314 developed a Block 25E error requiring OS reinstall over usb. Now the 314 and 212 units say "Connected (VPN)" while the RN528X still says "Connected (Local)". I can reach the admin pages of vpn units using readycloud but cannot reach them using their local IP address. Have run into this in the distant past but forgot root cause. How do I get these back on local network? Have already rebooted NAS drives.

  • An OS re-install would change a static IP, but you say you use address reservation in the router and DHCP in the NAS, so that's not it.  Any chance you inadvertently switched which Ethernet port is connected?  Address reservation is via MAC address, and each of the ports has it's own.

double checked the MAC addresses were still correct for each NAS, also no ethernet cables have been touched.

What local IP address(es) is RAIDar showing?

Did you try rebooting the router and the two NAS?
