what's the firmware runnning on your nas and what exactly did you edit on the backup job ?

The firmware is 6.6.1.
In the end I change nothing on the backup job, just opening it, clicking through the tabs and closing it again is enough, to make it run afterwards...

Hello el_patron,
Which USB port were you using when you got the problem? Have you tried or are you getting the same problem when using other USB ports?

I'm using one of the USB3-ports on the backside, with an extension cable to bring a connector to the frontside. Hmmh... can test with and without the extension cable and also the other port on the backside... and come back again.
