    1. There are PHP community add-ons. I'm not sure about ASP.net
    2. Recommended to install community add-on rather than write something yourself. Also be sure to install EnableRootSSH (http://www.readynas.com/?p=4203) first. Updates to the PHP add-ons may be made over time.
    3. I don't know.
    4. MySQL is already installed. If you don't use ReadyNAS Photos you can install the MYSQLON community add-on to activate it.
    5. Yes, apache is used.
  • You would have to manually install Mono to support ASP.net - there is no available addon
  • Thanks mdgm and sphardy

I really need the Zend framework on the nas, has anyone tried to install it?

Can it be done Or is there a model that I can install the OS myself eg redhat or any other form of liunx
  • Seems to me you would be better off investing in a standard Linux box (or even a Windows box given the ASP.ne requirement?)

While a ReadyNAS runs Linux, it is heavily customized, not the latest version, and you dont have full control of the installation. Neither is it designed to be a web development box. What you want to do is possible, but not the easiest solution by any means
