Rsync backup and exlude files using wildcards
Hello,
On readynas 314 with OS 6.2.2 ( and on all OS 6.x) I want to create a backup job using RSYNC between two READYNAS.
Il 's impossible from the GUI to excludes files from the backup using * or ? (I known rsync command supports this)
Netgear support answers that this feature is not implemented !!!
INCREDIBLE on a professionnal product with such a price tag !
My customer wants to return the units and get a refund .
Has anyone a good idea to achieve a backup excluding all files with .bak extension for example ?
Thanks.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHi cero,
You can of course script your own jobs via SSH, but we don't support doing this.
Did you get a case number from support? Hopefully they have passed on your feature request to product engineering.
Welcome to the forum! - ceroAspirantHi mdgm
Support did not open a case number but said they will repport the problem, ssh scripting is not an option for final user who wants a ready to use NAS with a easy GUI.
