One solution is to get a wifi extender with one or more LAN connections. Many routers can also act as extenders.
If you get an extender with only one LAN port you'd need to move the cable between your laptop and the extender. If you get one with multiple ports, then you can leave the NAS connected to the extender all the time, and connect the laptop to the extender as needed.
There is also software in Windows that lets you share your laptop's wifi internet connection with the NAS - called ICS. That isn't really intended for your use case though - it is more about allowing the NAS to reach the internet using your PC, not so much about allowing other devices to reach the NAS through the PC. It is included in Windows though, so it might be worth a try. But personally I think the extender would would better.
How far is the router from the NAS?
