I didn't think about using the extender in my case, but that really seems like a great solution, but only if I'll be able to configure (for example) the Ethernet2 port to reach the router, while still being physically connected with my PC via Direct Connect through Ethernet1 port. I think that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
Until I'll get myself the extender (which should happen pretty much ASAP, after the weekend), I could try the ICS thingie (while being aware of the limits of such solution of course).
