Switching from MBR to GPT
Firmware version 4.1.14. I am trying to backup my NAS data to a 4 TB drive. Because the NAS is setup using MBR partitioning table, only 2 TB of my usb drive is viewable. Will formatting and using GUID partitioning table and reloading the NAS be possible on the unit I have. I want to take advantage of the full available space on my external drive.
4.1.x systems don't support GPT formatting at all - so that will not work.

Yes. Though USB performance on the duo is very slow, so you'd get faster speeds connecting the USB drive to a PC and copying over ethernet.
