System Volume Root Usage is 82%

How do I fix this Root Usage issue on my Pro 6?  I'm guessing Tech Support will just laugh.

(When it rains...it pours....so many ReadyNAS issues this week!)

  • The permissions on a couple of logs related to email alerts were messed up so they weren't being pruned but rather one of them was growing ever larger. I've fixed that and reported this.

Some of the email alerts cannot be disabled by design but they are shown with checkboxes for informational purposes.

You can setup email filters to filter out alerts you don't want if you want.

Note the "volume root" is the OS partition.  This is not the same as the .apps folder I mentioned on the other thread (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Net-use-to-get-admin-access-in-Windows-not-working/m-p/1140759/highlight/true#M115788)  Deleting files from .apps will not reduce the volume root usage.

Do you have ssh enabled?  If so, what did you do with it?

You have plex installed - anytthing else?

Different NAS.  This one is my old Pro 6.  No apps running on this one.  This is the one that wasn't responding to ReadyCloud.

I haven't used SSH for either box except for secure Rsync.

      Like I said...when it rains.....
