thank you also for your reply, the smart_history.log does not tell me much but I have another question, is there a way to recover the data form 1 of those disks with a WINDOWS tool?

Not to my knowledge. The filesystem on hdd from the ReadyNAS is btrfs and windows does not understand that. Perhaps somebody else knows.

    There are BTRFS drivers for Windows, but I've not tried any of them.  Google is your friend.
