Updating existing OS6 install on legacy unit
Hello,
Just a quick question ... I previously upgraded my Ultra 6 Plus from OS 4.2.30 to OS 6.6.0 and all is working great without any problems. I just recently noticed when entering Raidar that a newer OS 6.6.1 is now available. My question is whether one just uses the update function as shown in OS 6.6.0 to update a legacy unit, or is it necessary to perform a manual install of a downloaded bin file since the update is being performed on a legacy unit.
I'm probably just being over cautious, but searching the forum hasn't yielded an answer to this question.
Thanks,
Works for me. If mdgm is telling me it's OK to update from the OS interface, it's info from "on high" as far as I'm concerned.
FWIW, just updated from the OS interface and everything is copacetic.

Either method of updating is fine. We make the update available for manual download before putting it on the update servers.
