Updating Readynas Pro to Latest Firmware
I am currently running OS 6.6.1 on a legacy readynas Pro 6. When I do a check for updates it tells me that I am already running the latest firmware even through firmware viersion 6.7.1 is available. Do I need to do a manual update of the firmware to get 6.7.1 installed?

Must be a screen that someone forgot to change when creating the new firmware.
Might be your browser cache too.

The update server may not be advertising the latest version yet. NETGEAR often waits some time between the moment the firmware is available for download and its addition to the update server. They also may prompt for the update by waves. You can always download it and install it "manually".

Netgear always starts by releasing the firmware for manual installation first, and then posts it to the update server in a week or so.
You can either install it manually now or you can wait for it to show up in check-for-updates.

I got a automatic notice when I logged into my NAS516 and my NAS628.
When I logged into my NASPRO I did not get a notice.
Even when I selected update firmware it said I was already running the latest firmware which was 6.6.1.
I thought that the legacy NAS units that were running firmware 6 and above were supposed to update the same as newer NAS units.
I guess not.
