USB drives not recognised unless ReadyNAS 102 is rebooted with Firmware 6.9.2

This problem with USB drives (used for backing up the NAS Drive) not being recognised, unless the NAS is rebooted was a problem about 1-2 years ago until a firmware update finally fixed it. Now I see this dreadful proiblem is back with firmware 6.9.2 which I installed on 3x of my sites some weeks ago. I see there is a new 6.9.3 version available, but the UI in these 2x NAS drives state that 6.9.2 is the latest. This is a major issue that I sure hope has been recognised and fixed? Where do we go from here? I really can't ask clients to reboot their NAS every time a USB drive is attached. USB drives are Seagate or WD, and between  2 and 4TB.

What's your USB's format, NTFS, or EXT4. Connect your USB to PC, can it be recognised well? If your data in USB has a backup, you can try to format the USB again, to see if it can reslove the issue

The drives are standard bus powered 2.5" drives  formatted as NTFS, and have been operation this way for several years. Nothings changed and they are absolutely fine, once the NAS is rebooted. It's simply that when the drive is plugged into the NAS drive, all all 3x cases, they do not appear at all in the list of attached drives, until the NAS is rebooted. This has only happened since the change to 6.9.2 and this exact problem also occured with some older firmwares roughly a year ago. Netgear acknowledged the problem then, and fixed it, only for it to break again now. Very frustrating.

If you download your logs and look in initrd.log which firmware did you update to 6.9.2 from?
