Yep, did that and it's about 300 MB. Deleting it will cause the cache to be rebuilt though, but it should be smaller at least.
Still it would be better to have this on a non root partition - I agree.
Can't seem to find where CrashPlan sets the log location though.. will dig in a bit more.
Edit: Same thing with the log files in /usr/local/crashplan/log too. Should be moved to non-root partition.
