Weird issues with ReadyNAS PRO & 3.0TB Drives

I'm very new to the ReadyNAS Ultra 6 and have had some very strange things happen as well with the Hitachi HUA723030ALA640's. I have yet to successfully create a new volume (RAID 5) without having to wait for it resync for more than 15 hours. To add onto that I've had one of the drives show up as failed after the install. All this without even having any data on the drives. With your experience with the ReadyNAS Pro, and taking into account that these drives are not on the HCL from NetGear, what is your confidence level that these drives will work well with the unit?
