Windows 10 and Old ReadyNAS Share and Recyle Bin
I recently upgraded my ReadyNAS 3200 to OS6. Everything is gonig great except I have one strange problem. I had share on my old NAS called \\NAS3200\james@jbandes.com
Now when I boot up my PC (windows 10 Pro) I get the error below that the recylce bin if corrupted for contacts and it points to the old share \\NAS3200\james@jbandes.com\Contacts
The problem is that the share \\NAS3200\james@jbandes.com does not exist on the new NAS. My workstation is pointing its recylce bin there and if I click on it it asks me to login. I created a folder with the name james@jbandes.com and I even tried to take ownership but the ability to take ownership does not work. I guess the problem is somewhere deep in my registry of my workstation and I think I may need to reinstall windows 10. Hope to avoid that but cant seem to fix it. The share also shows in the browser of the workstaiton but when I login to NAS3200\admin the share of course is not there becuase it was never created.

You might try disabling offline files on the win10 system ("manage offline files" in the control panel).

Its already deactivated.

For a remote folder to have a Windows recycle bin (as opposed to the old Raidiator 4.x recycle bin), I think you have to have a symbolic link to it, which you now need to delete. But I don't know if rmdir will work when the target no longer exists.
