Windows 8.1 and Home Folders
Good Afternoon Everyone, hope you can help
Just upgraded from a Stora to this new NAS 104 and first impressions is that this looks so much better. Now setting up the shares for the family I have hit my first problem.
My wife and I now have 8.1 on our laptops and I can access the default shares not a problem, but I cannot see the home folders for users on the NAS. Basically all I want is for my wife and the kids to have their own home folders.
It states in help that on first login these are created, I have the users set up but with 8.1 using Microsoft accounts I cannot see how the users details are passed to the NAS.
Then I want to take this a step further and tighten the security on my music for example so the kids have their own but reasd access only. I see how the user set up in the NAS works but its how windows passes the correct details.
Any help would be really appriciated.

Did you update firmware to 6.1.4?in System->Setting,you can easily to toggle home share,I am using Win7 to access my home share without any issue.I donot have Win8.1 mchine so I am not sure how the OS6 work with it.
Btw,to access home share you can use run command \\NAS_IP\user_name.
