Worst Support EVER!! Who can support mystora.com ??
Hi .. I just got no help from Netgear support on my stora. Worst part, it is their mystore.com that is at fault. Im furious!!
If this is how they treat customers, I will never buy netgear again !!
Can anyone pls tell me how to reset / retrieve the name my stora was registered under?
Thanks

Tried that?
...and of course you will see that there is a separate forum for the Stora. Try searching there or posting there? - erweeTutorHi bru
Thanks for the link and the quick reply. Tried that without any luck. Will try posting on other forums as well until I find some way of getting to the data on my NAS. Any other ideas, plus feel free to shout.
Go bokke! - erweeTutorJust to clarify, I followed the factory reset procedure step-by-step as specified in the Stora manual. Everything worked perfectly.
Now, when i type in the IP address to the NAS as specified, it does not take me to a login screen, but rather to the "Registration" screen : http://<local IP>/admin/wizards/setup/wrapper. This screen only gives one option : type NAS key + nas name and submit to mystora.com. I have the key but not the name. Does not matter what i type, it simply fails and does not allow me to continue.
Now you know as much as i know ... - StephenBGuru - Experienced Userhttp://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... y-defaults
The way I understand this you choose the stora name you want to use.
Also, the factory reset deleted whatever data you had on the stora. - vandermerweMasterI think with the stora, once you choose a name, it is permanent, even after a factory default. Netgear support are supposedly the contact if you forget this name.
- erweeTutoryup .. but no help from Netgear at all. Their tech "support" said they "might" have a look at it if I join GearHeads and pay them $40 for a once off service check. REALLY .. $40 to look up my name in your database because YOUR reset procedure does not actually reset properly ?!!
Thanks StephenB, but your link fails for me on step 8 (image 2) because I don't know the name (I named it 5 years ago).
No support email from Netgear, nothing.
Buying a Synology NAS .. i'm done with this rubbish. - vandermerweMasterBefore you buy a Synology consider that synology support may not be perfect and undoubtedly the Readynas forum is more useful than the synology forum. Also read about btrfs , snapshots.
