Apr 12, 2012Wow my ReadyNAS Ultra won't start anymore
I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 ... i bought it only a few months ago, it's brand new and i barely used it Today i tryed to start it... The blue LED light and the LCD screen powered up, then it power dow...

Yes you can migrate between those two models. Try to ensure the firmware version on the unit you are migrating to is at least as recent as the one on the unit that won't boot. Ultra/Ultra Plus/Pro are all x86 ReadyNAS. Same platform.

Not if the unit won't boot. Just try to make sure you're running at least as new firmware as what was on the dead unit. Since it's a fairly new unit and you were using 3TB disks I presume you probably were running 4.2.19.
