Since DOCSIS 3.1 has been released in many markets (Cox, Comcast etc) in the US giving us the consumer options to upgrade to speeds greater to or equal to that of 1Gbps I would like to request to see...
It would be nice that they could adjust this with software/firmware. If not possible then they should either begin making 10 Gigabit WAN ports or have a few WAN ports on the router that can handle Link Aggregation Group / Port Bonding.
Most topics I find are for Dual WAN / Load Balancing. I suspect that pretty soon consumers will begin looking for solutions for WAN / LAG from a single ISP.
