Router - Orbi RBR753 (AX4200)
Firmware version - V4.6.5.14
Main OS for my devices - Windows
Under wireless settings configuration; it should have an option to use WPA2 + WP3 as one of the security option to allow to use same SSID for devices which support WPA3 and some support WPA2 or below. Currently, I have to use guest network (with WPA2) for my own device which does not support WPA3.

Just FYI, the 9 series Orbi system that just released last year supports mixed mode. It works and works well.
So hopefully, NG can get the same thing working on the Orbi 3/7 and 8 series systems again. Initially NG had it but there were problems found so they had to remove it. Problems were found on the WPA3 side of things which was out of NGs hands early on.

The WPA3 mode without the ability to have a mixed (WPA2/WPA3) mode is not as useful as it could be. I have selected WPA3 on my Orbi RBR753 only to find that about 15 of the devices in my house don't allow WPA3.
I don't know when I'll ever be able to totally switch over to WPA3, as many/most devices don't list the type of WPA they support. Furthermore, I don't plan on spending thousands of dollars to upgrade my devices just to run WPA3.
A mixed WPA mode is necessary for myself and many others. Please consider it in your product enhancement schedule.

Your fine as safe to run WPA2 and AES only on the Orbi system. I have same system and running same thing.
FYI, WPA3 was compromized early on so even though it's supposed to be more secure, it had it's problems as well. Hopefully the security WPA group fixed things.
Thank you! Furrye38 and lyndon_h for your response to my question. Main reason I bought this mesh system to use WiFi6 so if use WPA2 then I am not using it. Hope Netgear support team sees this as critical item to have it to this Orbi series in near future.

Without mixed mode, WPA3 really isn't useful. I'd like to be able to run all devices that support it with WiFi6 + WPA3 and still be able to have my legacy devices connect.

18 months since this was requested. Has there been any feedback from Netgear?

All Orbi AX, AXE an BE series now support mixed WPA2/3 modes.

Great to hear. The config options just says WPA3. Do I assume that's the correct option? The hover help doesn't mention it. ( WPA3-Personal- This type of security enables WiFi devices that support WPA3 to join the router's WiFi network. WPA3 is the latest security standard and is more secure than WPA2.)
I'm on 4.6.14.3_2.3.12
