2.4 ghz Device not Connecting to Router
I recently bought a camera that requires a 2.4 ghz wifi connection (Link below). I have been unable to pair it with my router. Assuming the device was broken I was about to return but tested it on a friends wifi and it connected right away. My router has the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz channels separate so I know it’s not connecting to the wrong channel.
My router information: NETGEAR AC1750 (16x4) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C6300). I bought it in October of 2016 and have never updated it or done anything to it.
I’ve read that doing a factory reset occasionally helps with device connectivity issues, but what other steps should I take?
Edit: I know very little about routers/computers in general so detailed instructions or links to detailed instructions would be best.

Re: 2.4 ghz Device not Connecting to Router
Hello Username
Maybe the camera will only connect to a certain security type like WEP or WPA2 I would check what your 2.4ghz network is set to.
