Re: C3700 Firmware Update
WOW (The ISP) denies it pushes out the FW. They DO NOT approve it as they have never had (now are ready to release 'push' it because they don't do it. They say it's NETGEAR'S problem. So, I have no info on when (probably after I'm in my grave) this FRAUD willl be gone..

Re: C3700 Firmware Update w/different 'push' requirements in each ISP`
If you mean VOICE COMMUNICATION and Internet web pages -- HELL YES. Search it yourself. CALL WOW yourself!. Don't believe me? Google it.... Go to NETREAR'S SITE and simply 'SEARCH' for 'latest version' then go further.... community posts by NETGEAR site reps.

<I believe every modem sold in Retail market is upgraded by the ISPs directly.
Can WoW point to any modem out there is market which is upgraded by the vendor directly? >
Funny, it has been my experience that EVERY modem manufacturer but Netgear supplies firmware updates directly. When they stop supplying updates, the product is considered 'no longer supported'. NETGEAR products are 'no longer supported' as soon as you open the box.

Re: C3700 Firmware Update w/different 'push' requirements in each ISP`
I went to the list of firmware versions at:
and it said that on Comcast, I should be at 2.02.16. So in the Genie software, I went to the update firmware section and told it to update the firmware. Much to my surprise, Comcast pushed the latest version down to my modem/router.

Re: C3700 Firmware Update w/different 'push' requirements in each ISP`
That is the exact problem - you can't update FW if the file isn't available! NETGEAR doesn't make it available to me (only to WOW) -- and WOW says they've never 'pushed' any FW (because they have an open system and don't stand in the way of NEGEAR doing it itself.
NETGEAR SAYS IT DOES SEND UPDATES TO ISP's. Then, Why does NETGEAR genie have the FW update feature in its program - YET can NEVER find it when it searches?/!
