C7000v2 Slow connection speeds
I pay xfinity for 600mbps but I’ve only been able to receive 300 at best and now it’s ranging in the 60s hardwired in. Is there anything I can mess with? Or is this a solely xfinity issue that I need to address with them? Sorry for lack of info but I’m not knowledgeable, I did mess with my channels a bit after doing so research but no change.

Re: C7000v2 Slow connection speeds
Take a screen snip of the cable connectiongs page and the modem logs. That helps check the signal back to the isp.
Also, if you have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in line, remove them. Check your coax for any kinks, damage, poor/cheap connectors, and make sure the line is of decent quality.

Re: C7000v2 Slow connection speeds
Hi. I'm having the same issue with the same modem/router. My ISP is Comcast and I've spoken at length with them. I've upgraded to the 600mbps speed, ran tests over the phone with Comcast, then had a Tech come to the house. He checked all fittings and cables. He took off several unused coax connections to the house splitter and connected just the single house cable, then checked his meter and found everything good. My speeds were still slow; 2.4 is about 40mbps and 5.0 - 160. He then installed the new Comcast XB7 (3.1 DOCSIS) and the speed on my pc was about 560! I reconnected the Nighthahawk, went in the modem settings and played around with the channels which uppped the speeds to about 66 and 233 respectively. This Nighthawk is ranged for 960mbps. Since I'm out of Netgear warranty (it's only a little over a year old), they want $50 - $200 for tech support which I don't want to pay as I think I'd be wasting money and time. I was also able to see that I was basically alone on these channels. There are about 18 devices on the 2.4; mostly smart switches/recepticles and similars, so I don't think they'd be using a lot of bandwidth. The firmware is current. Should I dump this modem for the XB7, or is there another solution to giddy-up the Nighthawk?
