C7000v2 Wifi connected without internet, then goes back to normal
My C7000v2 has been having issues over past few days. All started after the weekend when we disconnected and repainted the living room. Since then, the Wifi signal suddenly stalls, shows Connected without Internet (on my S10+). After a minute or so, it goes back to normal. Any advice or ideas?

Any advice or ideas?Disconnect your coax cable connection at the back of your C7000v2 and confirm it is not loose or cross threaded.
When you had it disconnected, did you power down the C7000v2 or leave it powered up?
- I unplugged electrical before disconnecting the coaxial. I switched out the coaxial cords, too. Weird thing was before painting, it was connected via a splitter, but that splitter was there from when we had cable. Now that we've cut that cord, when we put the living back together, I eliminated the splitter.
I will add the note that when this happens and I notice it on my phone the connection will stall, I try switching from the 5g to 2.4g (or vice versa). It is then I cannot reestablish a connection for a minute or two.- plemansGuru - Experienced User
Do you have a copy of the cable connections page and event logs?
Those help check the line.
Also, did you remove the cover when you painted?
Maybe it was the connector in the wall that became loose.
Been getting the same thing on my C7000v2 with Xfinity. All connections drop (wifi shows "Connected without internet). After 2-3 minutes, goes back to normal. Xfinity remote chat saying to contact Netgear. May just have a tech come out. I also am getting "unicast maintenance ranging" in my event logs.
- CoolhandLWAspirantThat sounds like the exact same problem. Provider is blaming the hardware and Netgear is blaming the provider. The outages are annoying but only last a few minutes at most. Just enough to make me take a break from work, have streaming cut off, and for my son to scream about getting kicked off of Roblox.
I will watch your thread too. Hope you find the solution. Please post if you do!- Hello all. In a delayed follow-up, a couple weeks ago, my internet just randomly started working normally without any drops. Then, Xfinity followed up thru the Twitter DMs I had initiated with them. It appears there was an issue in my area. They didn't go into specifics, but a tech looked into supposedly and the issue is fixed. Internet is running smoothly and perfectly. Thank goodness I didn't spend $$ on a new device or start (gulp!) renting from them.

Glad they got it working on the ISP side.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
