CAX30 How to block remote Web Access
Hello,
I cannot find a way to block Remote Web Access to my Modem/Router.
If I browse to my IP address it opens the login page of the Modem/Router>
I would like to block remote access.
Thanks

Re: CAX30 How to block remote Web Access
That is only local remote access from your network. You can only access it from a device that has an IP-adress in the range of your cable internet gateway (modem+router). External remote access is not possible. Read when not connected to the Wi-Fi with your devices.

Re: CAX30 How to block remote Web Access
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.

Re: CAX30 How to block remote Web Access
You can not disable the web interface on Netgear home devices. In professional models your are remotely connecting using ssh or unsecure telnet and can disable web interface. Only changing the default password can block access to the configuration but a reset can always be performed..

Re: CAX30 How to block remote Web Access
I believe the user is referring to the WAN side access using a public IP address that should be disabled and there seeing accessibility on there CAX30. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Cable-Modems-Routers/CAX30-How-to-block-remote-Web-Access/m-p/21871...
