Re: CAX80 not getting full speed
What mode do you have the CAX in? Router or modem only?
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

Re: CAX80 not getting full speed
What happens if you disconnect ALL devices from the CAX accept for 1 wired PC, then configure the CAX for modem only node. Disable router mode on the CAX and let it reboot while the wired PC is connected? Then speed test with Ooklas installable speed test app on the PC...

I also checked with others on XF ISP who have the CAX. All and reported seeing good speeds on a 1G service.

Re: CAX80 not getting full speed
Id have your ISP check the line to be sure signal and quality is good.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

I have not. With my old modem that spectrum provided I was getting the speeds of 930-940 but now with the nighthawk it's getting 200-300 wired and about 500-700 wireless. Weird how wireless is faster than cable. I'm using cat 6 cable.

Re: CAX80 not getting full speed
Oh boy,
I just upgraded to 1Gbps from comcast this morning but I am not getting any satisfactory speed, actually not even near, only getting ~297 Mbps wired speed and as others experienced wireless speed is much faster ~600 Mbs, really weird.
Spent about 3 hours with Xfinity support and of course afer researching on their end and restarting the device at least 5 times by sending signal to it they determined and blamed the device itself stating that the bootfile does not meet the speed upgrade. Now off to Netgear support and spent about 2 hours with them. They had me change the WiFi channels for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz and changed the MTU to 1492 from 1500 which made the speeds for both wired and wireless worse. They asked me to leave the settings alone for about 12 hours and to to contact them to speak 2nd level support if the speed does not improve.
This brings me to believe Xfinity and this Netgear device not playing nice with each other and they do not have a clue what's going on.
Any one have any thoughts or have it made it to work with Xfinity Gig speed? I have another couple weeks before I return this device and get my money back. Until then I am all ears ...
Thank you very much.

Out of curiosity, what firmware is everyone on? I'm seeing 920 down/39 up on a 1Gig plan with Xfinity.

Would you mind posting your Cable connection status results as well like I did. Would be helpful to see what yours looks like while on XF.

Re: CAX80 not getting full speed
Ah, I see. I'm unable to test WiFi 6. Won't have any compatible devices until later this year. I was testing using wired:
My setup in this test case is the following: coax to CAX80 (very short run), Cat6 cable from the CAX80's multiGig port to a 10G D-Link switch. From there, I've got a Cat6 cable running to a Mac mini (2012) using a 2.5G Ethernet adapter.

Another consideration for WiFi 6 is OFDMA support on wifi 6 devices:
