Re: CM1150v Availability

Hard to say with such little information. My best off the cuff guess would be power level issues on your coax coming into the modem. Not sure if you are using a lot of splitters or what the quality of your signal is but it could easily cause that error. Essentially, your cable modem might be trying it's best to communicate with the CTMS but can't put out enough.

Here's a thread that may give you some more info...

Re: CM1150v Availability

Really? What is your US TX and DS RX? What is your US SNR and DS SNR? Ideally you should be at -8 to +8 DS RX / 35 to 52 US TX / > 29 US SNR / > 35 DS SNR. For the love of God don’t use an attenuator, ever.

Oh one more thing. If y’all are using Xfinity Speedtest with Gig service, stop. Use speedtest.net or dslreports.com

Re: CM1150v Availability

I seem to be in the same place as everyone else.

Max speed is about 500 Mbs despite 1 gig connection with comcast.

I tried Negear CS, they referred me to comcast.  Comcast says all is well from their point of view.

Yes, its a new product, but, shouldn't it work as advertised?

Re: CM1150v Availability - slow wire speed, R7000 router

I had the same exact issue earlier this week during the install of 1Gbs service, new XB6 > R7000.

I get 960Gbs directly connected to the XB6 with a PC, but when I connected the R7000 in “router” mode, I’d get 540Mbs max on any of the 4 switch ports. Put the R7000 into “access point” mode (which turns off the firewall, QoS and other router related features), and I get 950Mbs across all 4 switch ports.

Feels like a router firmware issue across the Nighthawk product line, but I don’t have data to back my theory.

Looks like I’m holding off on buying the CM1150v until this issue gets resolved, if it ever does.

What firmware version are you on with the R7000?

Re: CM1150v Availability - slow wire speed, R7000 router

On the latest: V1.0.9.64_10.2.64

I’m aware that dropping back to V1.0.7.6 supposedly solves the issue, haven’t gotten that far down the road yet. Plan was to get the CM1150v and see where I end up, but now thinking I may have to go that route.

Try reverting back to the .42 firmware see if the speed issue is fixed.

Re: CM1150v Availability

It looks like I may be the only one that may be getting the correct download/upload speeds with the CM1150V. I'm using a NETGEAR RAX120 Router, and I'm getting about 960 Mbps down, and 43 up, wired, through the router. I activated it using the link provided, and didn't have to call Comcast.

I hope everyone else is able to resolve their issues, as I'm really loving this modem, and my RAX120 router combined.

Re: CM1150v Availability

As of now, the RAX120 is only available through the NETGEAR Premier Membership Beta Program, which is a type of leasing program. I was invited to participate in the program.
