Change router password

I am hoping someone can tell me how to change my "router" password.  I have gone out to routerlogin.net and recovered it.  But that recovered password does not work when logging into NetGear. 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If the password doesn't work to log in to the gui and the password recovery isn't giving you the correct password its either

A. you're using an autofill and its overwriting what your using. disable any autofill/password managers.

B. a browser/computer issue. try a different browser or pc

C. you're typing it wrong. spaces and capitalization matters. 

D. Somethings corrupt. try factory resetting and re-installing. push and hold reset while powered on for 7-15 seconds.
