Cm500 speeds low
Spectrum tested their lines and it should be getting 400.
Even if I plug my computer directly into the modem I only get 250 max.
I am also using the linksys velop router with this modem.

Re: Cm500 speeds low
so if the computer is hardwired to the modem, you got 250mbps.
But if the router is connected, you're only getting 100mbps?
that implies that the router is whats slowing your speeds from the 250mbps to the 100mbps. And not the modem.
You can work on getting your speeds from the 250mbps to 400mbps over the direct connection.
do you have a screen snip of the modem cable connections page and the event logs from the modem?

So the linksys speedtest is showing 400?
That indicates the modem and the router are getting full speed.
How are testing this?
What device are you using?
What website?
Are you testing hardwired? Wireless? (2.4ghz or 5ghz)

Re: Cm500 speeds low
Hardwired into the modem is 250
Hardwired into router is about 110
Wireless is around 100
I used speed test.net
It shows the wifi has 5g

"192.168" is half an address. You might try this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Log In to the Cable Modem".

What, exactly, is your "my laptop"? How fast is its Ethernet
interface? Try a different computer (preferably one with a Gb/s-capable
interface)?
A defective Ethernet cable can limit the speed, too. All eight
conductors are needed for 1Gb/s speed; only (the right) four are needed
for lower speeds.

Re: Cm500 speeds low
you just put the same picture with only 5 of the channels and it didn't include uncorrectables.
