Re: Firmware file c7000
That's not good.
there isn't a firmeware file because it comes from the isp.
You can attempt to have the isp re-provision it or reinstall firmware but its not something the user can do.

Re: Firmware file c7000
Again, you can't get the file. Only the isp has it. its the way combo devices work and one of the reason's we usually recommend people buy modems seperate from routers.
Have you tried a factory reset?
Or a 30/30/30 reset?

Tried the little Netgear application too
Called Cox they won't give the file.
Should have had a ups
Or modem/router

Re: Firmware file c7000
they don't need to "give you the file"
if they can ping/see the router they can re-provision it.
Basically they're pushing the firmware/ settings to it remotely.

Re: Firmware file c7000
"only able to access it locally"?
Meaning what exactly? can you log into it and adjust settings?
and you put they can access it, so they should be able to provison/see it?

Re: Firmware file c7000
I understand what you're going through.
but you can't "get the file" for combo devices and modems.
If your isp can't re-provision/flash it, then it truly is bricked.
If you want the option of flashing your own router, next on you buy, get a seperate modem from the router
