My router/modem also reboots every night at 3am

Same issue here with the new firmware banner, yet I ma on the latest - started on 6/10/22.  My router/modem also reboots every night at 3am.  Re login, re enter security questions everyday.  Then the internet works fine all day until the next night reboot.

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.

Are they seeing these disconnects on there side in there logs as well when this happens? 


Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box. 
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem. 
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 2 minute then back ON.

Thanks for the reply.  The said all signal strangths looked good from their end.  Also, the disconnect or reboot is one issue, but why does the router constantly think I need new firmware and require me to enter a new password and new security questions every single time it power cycles?

Well Downstream does look ok.

 

However:

I can't tell for sure however if these two values are seen under the correctable and uncorrectable columns, then the ISP needs to look in to this. These should be Zero. This could be a possible cause. 

 

I see you have some Criticals as well that the ISP should look into as well. 

Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box. 
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem. 
Be sure all coax jack fittings are good and tight. 

 

Be sure to have the ISP check there logs around 3AM to see if this notice anything with your modem...
