Net gear router
3 nights ago my internet completely dropped out and I could no longer find my network name to connect to on my laptop and mobile device. I called Optus, who informed me it was a Net gear issue. I then called Net gear & after about 1 hour on the phone with them trying to diagnose the problem, they told me I should get another Net gear (the one I have was purchased 5 years ago).
I have a Motorola model: SB5101i Surfboard Cable Modem – can I get any router from the shops or is there a specific one that is compatible with the Motorola I currently have? My current net gear router I have is Serial *23B102741BC58C*

Re: Net gear router
Hello angesabb22
you can get any router that will work for your needs and budget they all connect to modems via the WAN port with a Ethernet cable.

Re: Net gear router
What is yout current Netgear router model? B4 getting another router why not try one more time after reflashing firmware.
Also as far as I know any router wil work with any modem.
