Randomly disconnects and will not reboot until unplugged

Hello,

On a handful of occasions, usually during late night, my modem crashes and will not reboot until it's unplugged. When this happens I  also disconnect the router. After the modem quickly comes back online, I plug back in my router and everything is fine. 

My internet provider is Xfinity, I have Netgear Orbi 973. My internet tier is x2 gigabit down & 300mb up. Speed test is what it should be.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
