Try places let Amazon. Look for same spec voltage and amps as listed on the sticker of the power adapter.

Re: Replacement power adapter for CM1000v2
Does it have to be a Netgear power adapter? Will the modem be compatible with any power adapter as long as the volts and amps are correct?

Correct, as along as the volts, amps and size of plug are the same, the modem will work fine with non NG branded power adapters.

Re: Replacement power adapter for CM1000v2
What do you mean by size of the plug? Are you talking about the part that plugs into the modem? If so, how would I be able to find out if it would fit before buying?
