does not broadcast a ssid anymore
I cannot find a broadcast SSID from my router or set it up. The nighthawk app won't find the router. The only way I can use my router wirelessly isthrough logging into my ISP service providers SSID.

Factory reset the modem by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then release. Give it another 10 seconds then pull the power adapter from the wall for 30 seconds. Plug back in and after the modem is ready, connect 1 wired PC to the back of the modem and use a web browser to setup the modem from scratch at 192.168.1.1 or might be at 192.168.0.1.

I don't understand that. How does your ISP provide an SSID?
That is something that the router delivers.
Before drastic measures like setting up the thing all over again, try some simple troubleshooting measures.

Are the wifi LEDs lit up at the bottom on the front of the modem/router?
What about the one on the right? Tried pressing the on/odd switch there?
The nighthawk app won't find the router. The best way to set up and manage the router is with the browser graphical user interface with a wired connection from a PC.

A little better idea of your setup might help.
1. what netgear router do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
4. Is your netgear in router mode or access point mode?
5. did the wifi on/off button get hit? Push and hold it for 2 seconds.
